army days memories

today i wear the old army uniform to school to commemorate TD Day. lots of memories. those days inThailand, Kanchanaburi, 44 dgrees celsius heat, breaking the M113 track in the middle of the night, the starry night sky, the unending mission, days with bathing, washing at the river with toothpaste, the mobile canteen that accompany us wherever we are, the kids that savage almost anything we throw into the rubbish bin, the tough mission, the thorny branches that bleed our hands and almost blinded my OC, the hot chlorine water we drink, the rainy night that all are drenched and hopeless, the super heavy concentina wire we carry here and there, the afternoon where all are almost heat exhausted with OC sharing his last water bottle, and finally the nice friends we have. Friends are the nicest gift on Earth. om mani padme hum :) Army is sh** days. But i am so grateful of them! they make me appreciate freedom and love my country. A man once said, given a million dollars, he will not repeat Army days; but he would not exchange a million dollar for the precious experience he got in Army!
om amni padme hum ! may there be peace on Earth . . . the peace that was meant to be ... with God as our father, brothers all are we..... pray no war, PEACE !!!
om mani padme hum
