Teachers Day

Teachers Day , like Mothers' Day , should not be an one-day recognisation only. Teachers do not need expensive gift, in fact teachers always (i feel) are happy to receive a card / paper containing words of expression and feelings from pupils. Card that contain 30 signatures become meaningless. But a foolscap paper with words of appreciation and expression are worth keeping and re-reading after many years.... Many thanks for the Prefects now, in the past also, who spend a lot of effort preparing for teachers Day .... thanks , Prefects now and in the past! The picture shows the deco that prefects put up today for Teachers Day.
I am very grateful to my teachers from Mattar East Primary (1978-1983) , Raffles Inst. (1984-1987) and Raffles JC (1988/89), especially Mrs Toh Kah Beng , Ms Wang JY and Ms Lim Peck Yian, Mr Hwang ?? . ...

Mrs Toh bought all my Sec 3 Textbooks ! for me free. becos she knew i came from a quite poor family ...

Ms Lim taught Confucius ethics very sincerely, although not many were listening !
